Woiyee after Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o refused to contribute to his burial,the late Governor Wahome’s family responds and leaves everyone in tears

The family of late Nyeri Governor, Wahome Gakuru, has responded to Kisumu Governor, Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o, who said he is not ready to contribute Sh 100,000 for the preparation of his burial.

In his argument, Prof Nyong’o who is a renowned academician and a scholar said that Counties are operating under very minimal revenue and cannot afford to use tax payers’ money for burial arrangements.

He said that every Governor is entitled to a personal insurance cover and that cover should work in this situation.

However, Gakuru’s family spokesman, Muthui Kariuki, told the residents to shun any gossip and focus on giving Governor Gakuru a decent send-off.

Muthui urged Nyong’o to stay with the money and try to use the money to alleviate poverty in Kisumu.
Muthui also appealed to residents to remain united and pray for the Country during this difficult moment.
