More Trouble For Raila Odinga After Two Nyanza Governors Leave Odinga for Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta is reportedly in advanced negotiations with two Nyanza governors as he tries to neutralize the opposition team under Raila Odinga.
On Tuesday, a nominated MCA and an insider within the ODM party, Irene Mayaka claimed that Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira counterpart John Nyagarama were holding talks with Uhuru’s team.
“I have information that Jubilee is currently hosting Ongwae and Nyagarama. They want to further weaken the opposition,” she said.
With a number of NASA led counties having constituted People’s Assembly plan, the two counties however, have not initiated such a process.

But in an immediate rejoinder, Nyagarama has dismissed the claims adding that he is keen to work with Odinga even at the ‘trying’ moment.
“Ignore the rumours going around about Nyagarama and Ongwae meeting Uhuru. The two governors are solidly in ODM,” read a statement from Nyamira’s Communication Department.
Both governors are facing election petition challenges with Uhuru warning during campaigns that he was ‘monitoring’ the situation.
